LEED Certified Drury Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe

Sustainability

At Drury Hotels, it is our responsibility to build energy-efficient hotels and protect the destinations where we operate our hotels, for generations to come. From the design and construction of our hotels to the guest amenities, we strive to innovate from inside and out.

Energy-Efficient Building Design

Outside

Our use of insulated concrete form, reflective roofs, and high-efficiency water heating systems significantly reduce our energy consumption. You will also find energy-efficient LED lights throughout the hotel and parking lot. Select locations also have electric vehicle charging points, so you can recharge before you hit the road.

Inside

Within the room, you will notice smart thermostats and low-energy windows that regulate our energy conservation and internal temperature. Faucet aerators, high-efficiency toilets, and EPA-standard Water Sense-certified shower heads are installed in all guest rooms to regulate water flow and reduce water consumption. Our shower amenity liquid dispensers have helped eliminate more than two million plastic bottles each year.

Environmental Stewardship

  • Our use of low-temperature laundry detergents reduces the energy needed to heat water while still able to thoroughly clean and sanitize linens.
  • Our room key recycling program helps limit plastic waste.
  • Our reusable dinnerware has reduced the usage of millions of paper and Styrofoam containers annually.

The Drury Difference - Supply Chain Management

Drury Hotels has its own supply company allowing us to leverage our buying power, and consolidate and streamline our purchasing and logistics. This gives us more control over brand standards with the consistency of our products and allows us to work smarter. Rather than a patchwork of invoices and work orders, we have monthly truck deliveries to our hotels that help us save on fuel and, of course, lower our emissions when we consider it through a sustainability lens.

LEED Certification

LEED Certification

We are proud to have four hotels that are currently LEED certified. As we continue to grow, we continue to pursue energy-saving design and LEED construction.
